Dell Adds A 14″ To The XPS Range

XPS14z2 Dell Adds A 14 To The XPS RangeDell have added a new laptop to the XPS range, it is thin, light and comes with a fourteen inch slim bezel display! The details of the XPS 14Z are a little thin at the moment, but from what we gather he is what the consumer can expect from this smart looking laptop it is more or less the same as the XPS 15Z.
So we know that is it light at around four pounds and slim too at under an inch, 0.9 inch to be precise, but more to point this is a nice looking laptop.
The Dell XPS 14Z will have a fourteen inch high definition LED with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolution and uses LG’s Shuriken display for a narrow bezel with built in web camera. The XPS will be powered by either the Intel Core i5-2430M processor or the more powerful Intel Core i7-2640M and graphics are provided by the 1GB NVIDIA Optimus graphics card.

Unfortunately, there is no news on the hard disk drive size, but there is word that the XPS will have an optional solid state drive (SSD), we do know that there will be 4 GB of RAM though. It comes with the HDHI port for connecting to another monitor, there is also a super fast USB 3.0 port and the slot loading optical drive for more traditional methods of data input.
The laptop will weigh in at 4.36 pounds or 4.12 pounds if the SSD option is selected and for size, the 14Z measures 13.19 inch x 9.21 inch x 0.9 inch (335 mm x 234 mm x 23 mm). If we need a guide to the price of the new XPS, it is due to be released in China initially with a converted price tag of around $1,200! It is difficult to know if the price of the 14Z will be along those lines or not, but its a ball park figure.
