Name origin of Bandung

Regarding the origin of the name "Bandung", put forward variousopinions. Some say that the word 'Bandung "in Sundanese,synonymous with the word" appeal "in the Indonesian language,means side by side. Ngabandeng (Sunda) means adjoining oradjacent. This is partly expressed in Big Indonesian Dictionarypublished by Hall Book (1994) and Sundanese-IndonesianDictionary published by Faithful Reader (1996), that the word"Bandung" means in pairs and mean also coexist.
