Effects of Aging in Women

DEFINITION
At the time of menopause, rapid changes in the genital organsoccur. Menstrual cycle stopped, and the ovaries stop producingestrogen. After menopause, the labia minora tissue, the clitoris, vagina, and urethra thinning (atrophy). Depletion can occur inchronic irritation, dryness, and quit from the vagina. Vaginalinfections are more likely to occur. So also after the menopause, the uterus, fallopian palopi, and ovaries become smaller.

With aging, there is a decrease in the amount of muscle andconnective tissue, including muscles, ligaments, and other tissues that support the bladder, uterus, vagina and anus. As aresult, the affected organs can be loose or down (prolapse),sometimes causing distress or full in the pelvis, difficulty urinating, loss of control for urine or bowel movements (incontinence), or pain during sexual intercourse. Women who have many childrenmay experience some problems.

SYMPTOMS
Because there is little estrogen to stimulate the milk ducts, breastreduced in size and can be loose. Connective tissue thatsupports the breast also decreases, causing sagging. Fibers in the breast tissue is replaced with fat, making the breast is less strong. In addition to these changes, many more women to enjoysexual activity after menopause, possibly because they are no longer able to become pregnant.
